Gambian citizens living near the border in Foni have been caught in the crossfire of a conflict between Senegalese Government forces and the Movement of Democratic Forces of Casamance (MFDC). Recent incidents allegedly involving a Senegalese military drone have resulted in the deaths of several young people, sparking fear and causing many to abandon their livestock. The Gambian government has not responded to these incidents, and the National Human Rights Commission has not issued a statement or visited the victims.
